Significance
One of the two Jyotirlingas located in Maharashtra along with Trimbakeshwar (Grishneshwar, Aundha Nagnath and Parli Vaijnath are also regarded as Jyotirlingas by tradition, bringing the state's total to five under some listings).

Bhimashankar is reached by road via ghat sections from both Pune and, from Shirdi, via Nashik/Sangamner — the drive is roughly 4–5 hours from Shirdi depending on route and road conditions.
Best Time to Visit
October to February; the monsoon (June–September) brings heavy rain and lush scenery but slower ghat driving.
Suggested Duration
