Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga
The Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga is enshrined at Srisailam, on the banks of the Krishna river within the Nallamala hills, and is also one of the eighteen Maha Shakti Peethas as the temple honours Bhramaramba Devi alongside Lord Mallikarjuna.
Significance
Srisailam's dual status as both a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peeth makes it one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in South India for both Shaiva and Shakta traditions.

Srisailam is reached by road from Hyderabad or Kurnool; the nearest major airport is Hyderabad. From Shirdi this typically means a flight into Hyderabad followed by a road journey of several hours through the Nallamala forest region.

September to February, avoiding the peak summer heat of the Deccan plateau.
