Renuka Devi Temple
Renuka Devi Temple at Mahur, in Maharashtra's Nanded district, is the fourth of the state's 'three-and-a-half' Shakti Peeths and is associated with Renuka, mother of Parashurama in Hindu tradition.
Significance
Mahur is a significant pilgrimage town in the Vidarbha region and, along with Tuljapur, Kolhapur and Saptashrungi, completes Maharashtra's principal Devi circuit.
How to Reach
Mahur is in eastern Maharashtra, a considerable distance from Shirdi (typically 8+ hours by road), and is best planned as part of a multi-day Shakti Peeth circuit rather than a standalone trip.
