Nashik is one of the most rewarding extensions from Shirdi — a genuine city with temples, river ghats and a Jyotirlinga all within reach on a single well-planned day.
Distance and travel time
Nashik is around 90 km from Shirdi, typically a 1.5–2 hour drive. Most itineraries route through or near Trimbakeshwar on the way, since it sits just off the main road into Nashik.
What to see
Panchavati, the group of temples associated with the Ramayana, and the Godavari's Ramkund ghat are Nashik's core sights. Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, roughly 30 km outside the city, is usually visited on the same day given the short additional distance.
One day or two?
A single long day from Shirdi is workable for most travelers, especially if you start early. If you'd rather see Nashik at a relaxed pace, an overnight stay gives you room to add the Sula wine-region countryside or a slower morning at the ghats.
